Научная конференция «Библиофильство и личные собрания»

Вторая международная конференция «Библиофильство и личные собрания» проводится
с целью представления материалов, посвящённых частным собраниям
старой книги, их владельцам и истории библиофильства.
Организаторы конференции: Федеральное агентство по печати и массовым коммуникациям,
Российская государственная библиотека, НП «Национальный союз
библиофилов».
Информационная поддержка: телеканал «Культура», РИА «Новости», ИТАР-ТАСС,
журналы «Библиография», «Библиотековедение», «Обсерватория культуры», «Наше
наследие», «Про книги», «Российская газета», «Литературная газета».

Конференция будет проходить
в форме пленарного заседания в течение одного дня.
На конференцию приглашаются владельцы личных собраний старой книги, специалисты
библиотек, музеев, архивов, исследовательских институтов, вузов, издательств,
общественных организаций, эксперты антикварного дела, представители
государственных структур, средств массовой информации.
По материалам конференции будет издан сборник.
Срок подачи материалов — не позднее 01 ноября 2012 г.

SUMMARIES
Cultural Studies after Post-Modernism: Post-Futurology (by Andrew Flier) proposes to forecast the development
of the cultural sciences in a situation of exhaustion of post-modern analysis in the social sciences, suggests that
the new direction of culture research will be associated with the study of culture as an intention, as an ideal project
and can be called post-futurology.

On the Beginning of European Culture (by Lada Shipovalova) questions the habit to associate the beginning of European
culture with the emergence of theoretical activity. The thesis of the possibility of considering the scientific
(theoretical) and technical works as two complementary equivalent bases is also suggested.

The Formulas of Dialogue in Culture: Dialectical Formulas Based on the Binary Notation (by Dmitry Misiurov)
makes an attempt to represent dialogic culture using dialectical formulas based on the binary notation that captures
the contradictions in the relationship of all elements. Dialectical logic implicit in the formulas can be used
for algorithmic machine processes and for description of the complex dialectic spirals, including research in the
development and interconnection of various components of culture.

Modernization as a Project of Russia’s Development: Specific Implementation in the Field of Culture (by Anna
Kostina) considers the concept of modernization as a cultural scientific concept, reflecting the transformations in
the cultural sphere — the changing nature of solidarity within the society, the development in the individual personal
characteristics involving personal responsibility for decisions, rationality of thought, historicism of the reality
perception. The author also tries to identify some problems impeding the modernization of Russia — the country’s
deindustrialization, the dominance of consumer values not supported by work ethic, archaism of public relations. In
conclusion the author postulates the need for reliance on the foundation of Russia’s achievements for the successful
advancement along the path of modernization.

for the Canaries: Twilight Body in the Mirror of Cinema (by Tatiana Shemetova) deals with the American
film «Surrogates» (2009) by Jonathan Mostow as the concept of technological singularity of Vernor Vinge, and also
draws a parallel between the nature of technological progress and the notion of the world-will of Arthur Schopenhauer.
The author believes that the basis for a new world outlook of the third millennium will be the ideas of Russian
philosophers and futurists, the creators of such trends in philosophy as the “Russian Cosmism.”

Social Communications: Subjective and Objective (by Natalia Shmeleva) considers those forms of social communications

The Interpretation of Opera Works in Modern Theater. Innovation or Provocation? (by Irina Goryunova) analyzes
the problems of directing opera and contemporary reading of the classics. Particular attention is paid to the notion

and conductor of the author’s musical drama, as well as directing influence on the development of modern musical
theater are considered too.

Stage Realization of the “New Drama”: Violent Provocation, based on Productions of the Kuzbass’s Repertory
Theaters (by Natalia Prokopova) is devoted to the provocative part of the performances, staged on the plays of “a
new drama”. Empirical study is based on material production, carried out in the theaters of the Kuzbass region. The
results of the analysis are the findings that the provocative “new drama” served as some sort of shock therapy that
promotes the artistic renewal of Repertory Theater.

Entrepreneurial Spirit in Business Culture: a Look into the Past (by Sergei Davydov) deals with the problem of
importance of entrepreneurial spirit in business culture. Basing on analysis of the paradigms of economic life of
early civilizations, ancient, medieval, and capitalist, the article describes the increasing importance of entrepreneurial
spirit in business culture. It also shows proofs that entrepreneurial spirit goes beyond the economic sphere
and comes in other areas public life.

Socio-Cultural Meanings of Russian Constitutionalism (by Evgeny Popov) is devoted to socio-cultural values and
meanings, as expressed in the Russian constitutionalism in the twentieth century. Reconstruction of these meanings
is expressed within the framework of constitutional rhetoric, which allows to see the path of conceptualization
of the most important categories of system within various branches of law, and to relate them to the development
of cultural and cognitive constructions of the past century.

The Problem of Reality Reflection through Art (by an example of Cinema Manifestos of 1920s—2000s)
(by Zoya Rubinina) on the basis of an analysis of the Cinema-Manifestos of some prominent filmmakers (Dziga Vertov,
Lars von Trier, Vitaly Mansky) and in the context of the time of their creation examines the problem of reality
reflection through art. The problem of reality’s reflection by art’s means is especially urgent for documentary movie.
The analysis of such documents as film-manifestos (1920s-2000s) allows to inquire how the problem of documentary
movie’s specific language and its relationship with reality was put & discussed as well as what the problem’s
solutions & why were offered.

Symbols in the Works of Mikhail Ancharov of 1960—1966 (by Oleg Moiseev) deals with ideas of Russian Soviet
writer Mikhail Ancharov and tries to substantiate the actuality and topicality of writer’s ideas, who suggested constructive
solutions of some social and cultural problems in his works of 1960-1966. The article covers an attempt to
reveal Ancharov’s notions about concept of ideal on the ground of image of Atlantis which took important place in
his works as a versatile symbol of humanity’s golden age.

Roguery as an Element of Culture (by Dmitry Sevostyanov, Alexis Marin) is devoted to the analysis of the Rogue’s
part in fiction and its characteristics from the point of his attitude to the scale of values and social relationships.
Rogue’s part is discovered with the test of inversion — a specific type of relationship in the hierarchical system
where the lowest representative gets the ruling duty. Rogue’s character is shown through the investigation of his
interrelation with a Simpleton, a Money-grubber and a Strike-breaker who are considered to be his antipodes. It is
said that psychoanalytical concept, the analysis of character and myth are primary important in the research of this
relations.

Tropes of Language and Mechanisms of the Unconscious: Two Modes of One Substance (by Anastasia Medova)
considers the correspondence between the forms of unconscious processes and the use of words in an indirect

sense. The analogy of the mechanisms of dreaming, wit and poetic visual metaphors allows us to speak about these
phenomena as modes of one substance at a certain point of view revealing its identity.

Ska Music: Its Sources, Habits of Origin and Development (by Dmitry Rom) considers the origin of the Jamaican
musical style ska, some common cultural and, in particular, its musical preconditions, the separate events
distinguishing its development, the special lines which have caused its specificity, and as well as the subsequent
development of the given style.

Development of Tendencies of Naive Art in Decorative-Applied Paintings of the End of the XIX Century — the
Beginning of the XX Century by an example of the Vologda Masters’ Works (by Natalia Kulizhnikova) is based
on the analysis of the works of the Vologda folk painters and is devoted to changes in the traditional national folk
painting occurring in the XX century. The author believes that these changes are associated with the reflection of
the national consciousness on the development of civilization processes in the XX century.

Culturological Image of Dublin and its Inhabitants in James Joyce’s novel “Ulysses” (by Larissa Nabilkina)
examines the image of Irish capital Dublin through the prism of perception of the heroes of James Joyce’s famous
modernist novel “Ulysses”.
The author of the article pays special attention to the authenticity and accuracy in the description of the city and its citizens.
It is also underlined with the help of such factors as attention to the details, chronotopic concentration of events.
A well-known device such as a stream of consciousness makes the culturological comprehension of the city stronger.

“Magic Realism” in Afro-American Literature (by Yulia Sapozhnikova) studies some peculiarities of the literary
movement of «Magic realism» and points out those features of this method that are actively used in the works of
Afro-American literature. The use of the mentioned way of the world perception enables the Afro-American writers
to describe the magic and often mythological aspect of the reality that manifests itself as the embodiment of still
existing characteristics of the Negro consciousness and its collective unconsciousness.

Transformation of the Concept «Eternal Femininity» in Fet’s and Rozanov’s Works (by Natalia Kashina) is the
comparative research of the image «Eternal Femininity», which was typical for Russian culture at the end of the
XIX and at the beginning of XX centuries. The author describes the other cultural and domestic background of this
concept and analyses its characteristics and metamorphosis.

Moscow State Texts: the Conception of the Damned Hero (by Sergey Kolesnikov) deals with the influence of the
art culture of the XVII century on the cultural situation in the whole. The author analyses the themes of curse in
the literary monuments of this age.

Western European “Wolands” as Architectural Critics of Bulgakov’s Moscow (by Vladimir Moiseenko) estimates
the degree of influence on the content of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” by many visits of the
Western architects to Moscow in the 1920s and 1930s. The article analyzes the main types of statements of some
of the visiting foreign experts on architectural forms and urban issues in Moscow before the war, compared to the
scale of the destructive effects of Woland’s visit to Moscow, and Le Corbusier’s plan for its reconstruction.

considers the cultural continuity of the works of Andrei Platonov and Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin. The author
traces their common destiny, and notes similarity between their art systems and techniques, as well as some literary
types.
