Требования к рукописям статей,
поступающим в журнал «Обсерватория культуры»
• Редакция принимает ранее не опубликованные статьи.
• При решении о публикации принимаются во внимание актуальность темы, четкая
постановка исследуемой проблемы и логика ее решения. В статье должны быть
представлены научные или прикладные результаты исследования, сделаны
соответствующие выводы.
• Редакция сообщает автору о решении редколлегии по поводу публикации
в течение 2-х месяцев со дня регистрации рукописи в редакции.
• Объем рукописей не должен превышать 35—40 тыс. знаков. Превышение объема
может служить основанием для отказа в публикации.
• Правила оформления статьи:
рукописи принимаются по электронной почте в виде текстового файла в формате
Word. Форматирование не допускается;
оформление сносок и примечаний в пределах статьи должно быть единообразным.
Желательна сплошная нумерация сносок.
• Статья завершается списком литературы, составленным в порядке упоминания
в тексте статьи. Ссылки на литературу в тексте даются в квадратных скобках,
в которых помещается порядковый номер источника и номера страниц.
• К рукописям прилагаются:
резюме статьи объемом не более 400 знаков и список ключевых слов (не менее 8)
на английском и русском языках; классификационные индексы ББК и УДК;
сведения об авторе: фамилия, имя, отчество полностью; ученые степени
и звания; должность и место работы.
• Плата за публикацию статей не взимается.

SUMMARIES
Culture of Philosophy vs Philosophy of Culture (by Vera Gushchina) considers the culture of philosophy as a sphere
of professional activity and as a social institution taking as an example the US philosophical community organization
and its gender culture. The methodological basis of the study is the principles of the constitution of the discourse of
Foucault.

The Modern History: an Oxymoron or a Scientific Discipline? (Part Two) (by Grigory Bibikov) considers the basic approaches
developed by modern Western historiography with regard to the possibility of knowledge and the scientific
study of the recent past. The article concerns such issues as the chronology of modern history, the ability to write stories
without archival materials in a substantial increase in the source base, and the politicization and the subjectivity as an
obstacle to scientific analysis, interdisciplinary aspect of the study of modern history.

Style as a Form of Art and Science Integration in the Context of the Rationality Problem (by Alexandra Kraeva)
expounds some research work results carrying out in revelation of epistemological correspondence between science
and art in the context of historical type of rationality, art styles, and scientific paradigms changing. It is going to be
illustrated in this article with the music art data, as the knowledge about the music since ancient times had an evident
tendency: the realization that the foregoing kind of art has closest links with science grounding European musicology
in its origins.

Faces of Loneliness in Culture (by Dmitry Trunov) considers loneliness as a cultural phenomenon, performing certain
social and psychological functions. In this connection the following forms of loneliness are described: punishing,
protecting, aesthetic, calming, and healing.

Pain Considered as Compassion. The Problem of Adequate Expression of Pain (by Gulnara Khaydarova) examines
the problems of pain which exists as always actual in every culture, and every time presents its proper ideas of this
phenomenon. Therefore the analysis of pain conceptions in certain cultural context illuminates the society itself, sets
the scale of its humanity, rationality, civilization. The main problem in the investigation of pain as cultural phenomenon
is the possibility of information and communication about pain. This problem is closely connected with the formation
of victim figure in the society and also with the institutionalization of forms and modes of compassion expressions.

Inversive Relations of Pair Personages in the Fiction Literature (by Dmitry Sevostianov) deals with the philosophical
analysis of mythological image of «shadow» and the origin of its archetype. Relations of «figure» and «shadow» are
showed as a functional structure, as a manifestation of the inversive attitude in hierarchical system.

Expression «Cold Culture of Stalinism» as Sense to the Epoch: History and Modernity (by Alexander Kostyaev) brief
analysis of expression «cold culture» in cultural and philosophies sciences is given. The special attention is turned
on structures with properties of «cold culture» and stalinism. The author sums up the results of the study of the most
important components of stalinism — old and new cultural sense.

Russia in the World-Wide Cultural Space (by Gennady Korotky) examines the issues related to determining the place
of Russian culture in the emerging universal cultural space in a globalizing world.

Recipient Mediality in Artistic Practice of Contemporary Art (by Anton Walkovsky) analyzes the problem of transformation
of models of artistic reception and the change of the role of recipient in art in the second half of XX century.

Phenomenon of Artistry in Conducting (by Valery Kayukov) examines conducting activity from the philosophical and
cultural positions through the phenomenon of artistry. Artistic component in the conductor’s work is an important
component part of successful conducting activity.

Concepts of Phyto- and Floramorphism in Russian Liberty Style (by Ekaterina Baikova, Natalia Karavaeva) deals with
phytomorphic images and structure as a whole system of image modeling methods in culture. It makes an attempt to
create a specialized method of philosophic and cultural analysis of material culture samples review through the prism
of wildlife everyday images. Floramorphic images are considered as a component of phytomorphic.

The First European Written Projects of Colour Design in Urban Space (by Julia Griber) examines the first European
written projects of colour design in urban space. It analyzes the theoretical bases of colouring, stated by F.C. Schmidt in
his book «Der b rgerliche Baumeister» (1790, Germany). It also characterize attempts of management of colour design
in urban space undertaken in the XVIII – at the beginning of the XIX century by municipality of Paris (France), Council
of Turin (Italy), Builders Commission (Russia).

Glassmaking in the Ancient Culture of West Asia (by Luybov Groshkova) represents a brief study of general aspects
connected with the development of the glassmaking as an essential part of the culture of the civilization in Ancient
Greece. The cultural aspects of glassware and its place in the ancient Hellenistic society are subject to detailed analysis
in the context of the evolution of ancient crafts and arts, with reference to relevant works of leading glassmaking
historians in Russia and abroad.

The German Bow Stringed and Wind-Instrument Makers in Russia (by Denis Lomtev) deals with the activities of
German bow stringed and wind-instrument makers in Russia prior to 1917, and analyzed on the basis of little-known
sources from the Russian musical historiography and the instruments still intact. Particular attention is focused on the
commercial strategy of Julius Heinrich Zimmermann.

V.D. Polenov: “I have always Stood for the Creation and Device” (by Irina Gorbatova) considers the social and educational
activities of the outstanding Russian painter Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov, a member of the Association of the
Wanderers, active member of the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts, the creator of a public museum in the countryside,
the head section of folk theater.

From the Scheme of Concept of “Social Institution” – to Nomological Laws in Humanities? (by Helena Poltavskaya)
attempts to detect the essence of the concept “organization/institution” with the help of constructivist ideas. To achieve
this it is proposed to select the most accurate definition and build on its base theoretical framework. Visualization of the
logic scheme, that is fixed in the definition of the term “organization/institution”, allows refining this particular concept
and comparing it with the concept of “social institution”. The scheme, proposed the concept of “social institution””,
focuses on the quality of actors who come together in a social relationship. The detailed scheme of “social institution”
is the basis for the formulation of nomological laws in the sciences of document and communication sector.

Foundations of Restoration and Preservation of Cultural Monuments (by Vladimir Zverev) is the program for the

Discursive analysis of cultural texts (by Natalia Zvereva) is a program of discipline “Discourse analysis of cultural texts”,
that is intended for the students of magistracy. This discipline provides the students the theoretical knowledge and
experience of discourse analysis, wich they can use in research work. In this course of study we consider interconnection

between language and culture. Discourse analysis integrates the important trends in the humanities of the 20th century.

The Role of Cultural Space in Shaping the Personality of a Statesman of Russia in the late XVIII and the early XIX
century (D.N. Bludov as an example) (by Irina Savitskaya) describes influence of noble family, the role of woman
(Bludov’s mother) and well-known poets of XVIII century (among them Bludov’s uncle G..R. Derzhavin) on the process
of cultural upbringing of future Russian statesman.

Traditional Culture and Professional Art: Problems of Interaction (by Vera Bochkovskaya) deals with interrelation
of such concepts as “traditional culture” and “professional art”. The theorists of folk art still have no consensus on the
problem of correlation of folk and professional art.

Development of the Concept of Poetic Identity in V. Khodasevich’s Texts (by Sergei Kolesnikov) considers the
basic stages of development of V. Khodasevich;s creativity, defines the originality of his poetry, its place in the Silver
age literature. In the center of attention of the author – a problem of transition of V. Khodasevich from poetry to
prose, judgment of essence of the creative person and the poetry maintenance, and also definition of results of V.
Khodasevich’s activity as a literary critic.

«Brave New World» – as Literary Concept between two Russian Revolutions (by Daria Zavelskaya) focuses on a
particular special type of historicism in art system of Russian writers of the early XX century, its association with the
style, imagery, perception of space and time, psychological pattern of their works.

The Colour of Evil: the Problem of Colour Canon Relativity in Russian Medieval Art (by Evgeniya Kuznetzova)
considers the conception of canon as an polysemantic phenomenon, that interacts with the conceptions of tradition,
norms of arts, etiquette, style, genre. The main features of the art’s canon (in it’s contemporary meaning) are the world
outlook, standard character, some relevant functions, relativity.

Principle of Social Existence: Cultural Studies Discourse. Language and Community (by Alexis Shubakov) proceeds
from the recognition of the fact that social mutual understanding consists of the same mechanics of individual content
placement which form common identity of society members that is expressed in unanimity. The individual here is
the final interpreter of the required identity. However, the actual appropriation of the integral forces of unity and
community assumes the existence of social intelligence and cultural behavior in the individual. The individual must
generate names and words - significations of desirable social existence, which transform the human being itself and
prospects of his or her being in the world.

Russian Opera at the Bolshoi Theatre: from the Musical-Critical Heritage of P.I. Tchaikovsky (by Ilya Ushullu)
describes the history of Russian opera stagings at the Bolshoi Theater, which is embodied in the musical-critical heritage
of P.I. Tchaikovsky. The views of the composer on the state of Russian opera in the period of the 70s of XIX century are
also considered, as well as his attitude to the soloists, chorus, orchestra, and activities of the theater administration.
The contribution of P.I. Tchaikovsky to the formation of special attention to Russian opera as a national heritage is
noted too.
