Требования к рукописям статей,
поступающим в журнал «Обсерватория культуры»
• Редакция принимает ранее не опубликованные статьи.
• При решении о публикации принимаются во внимание актуальность темы, четкая
постановка исследуемой проблемы и логика ее решения. В статье должны быть
представлены научные или прикладные результаты исследования, сделаны
соответствующие выводы.
• Редакция сообщает автору о решении редколлегии по поводу публикации
в течение 2-х месяцев со дня регистрации рукописи в редакции.
• Объем рукописей не должен превышать 35—40 тыс. знаков. Превышение объема
может служить основанием для отказа в публикации.
• Правила оформления статьи:
рукописи принимаются по электронной почте в виде текстового файла в формате
Word. Форматирование не допускается;
оформление сносок и примечаний в пределах статьи должно быть единообразным.
Желательна сплошная нумерация сносок.
• Статья завершается списком литературы, составленным в порядке упоминания
в тексте статьи. Ссылки на литературу в тексте даются в квадратных скобках,
в которых помещается порядковый номер источника и номера страниц.
• К рукописям прилагаются:
резюме статьи объемом не более 400 знаков и список ключевых слов (не менее 8)
на английском и русском языках; классификационные индексы УДК и ББК;
сведения об авторе: фамилия, имя, отчество полностью; ученые степени
и звания; должность и место работы.
• Плата за публикацию статей не взимается.

SUMMARIES
Culture Industries in the Digital Age: Music Business crisis in the XXI Century (by Julia Strakovich) deals with
contemporary culture which undergoes the great transformation caused by the technological revolution unfolding on the
verge of the XXI century. Yesterday’s warrants of social and cultural stability are replaced by today’s new culture norms
and social practices. One of this transformation results is crisis of culture industries. In attempt to discuss key reasons
of this crisis, the focus of this article was placed on musical culture.

Art of Provocation and Perfect Provocateur (by Tatiana Shemetova) considers the term «provocation» as a conflict
between worldviews of the subject and the object of provocation. The subject of provocation — is a perfect provocateur.
It is interpreted as a catalyst of modern culture, which has a basic purpose — to destroy binary oppositions and to create
reality of the second plane, imaginative work. The author reveals four stages of the perfect provocation and sets «the
perfect» provocative method in opposition to «the method of idea».

A Statue as a Fractal Representation of Culture: the Case of the «One&Other» Art-Project (by Helena Nikolaeva)
deals with a city statue as a fractal pattern of culture and history. The fractality of city statues and monuments has a
distinct conceptual stochastic-aleatoric character. The study reveals special aspects of fractal representation of culture
through the example of the «One&Other» art-project (London, 2009) by A. Gormley. It analyses fractal chronotopos of
the project and the role of the Other in cultural recursions.

System Principles and Museum Law (by Kirill Rybak) considers the specificity of system-wide principles in the
legislation of the Russian Federation on culture, in particular, the museum business. Since the relations in the sphere
of culture are multifaceted and permeate many areas of human activity that are in contact with the culture, the implementation
of the principles of the system can be traced in relation to the museum’s activities and, consequently, to
comprehensive education in law — the museum law, including in relation to the principle of hierarchy in the allocation
of government in the field of culture. In addition, the corruption expertise institution is analyzed, through which the
testing of novels in Russian legislation, including legislation on culture, in particular, the museum business is being done.

Modernization vs. Archaization in Modern Russia: Iinterrelation, Dynamics, Consequences (by Helena Revutskaya)
is devoted to the comparison of two concepts and the phenomena standing behind them: modernization and
archaization. Their ratio is considered mainly on the Russian material. Their interrelation, influence on character and
dynamics of socio-cultural changes are shown and analyzed by the author.

Acculturation of Temporary Migrants from Foreign Countries in a Large Russian City (by Rimma Tangalycheva)
is devoted to intercultural communications and acculturation of foreigners in a large city. It presents approaches to the
study of acculturation and to the study of large cities as a space of intercultural communications. Solving of acculturation
problems and overcoming difficulties in the process of adapting to the new cultural environment is possible on the basis
of cultural assimilator technique that is also presented in this paper. Space of a large city is considered on the example of
St. Petersburg, which has been multicultural from its foundation. In modern conditions, the city acquired some of the global
features. It determines the topicality of presented research.

Gender Theme in Musical Cultures of World Civilizations (by Helena Vasilchenko) deals with the problem of gender
and its interpretation in the musical culture of different civilizations, as well as analyses the problem of male and female
musical professionalism and the social status of male and female musitions on the examples of world civilizations. The
systematical construction «male and female», which is natural for every society, has to be implied in scientific research
of the sound-musical tradition. The support on the anthropomorphous dichotomic idea of the Universe (Heaven and
Earth, male and female, light and dark) in the symbolic structure of the musical instruments of many cultures is the
universal principle in world music cultures. Thus, the mystical joining in the sect cosmic energy of the two opposite

elements — a female and male — was reflected in the symbolic correlation and sounding of a number of Indonesian
gamelan instruments. In a number of cultures the categories «male-female» was reflected in the type of the sounding.
Generally, three main levels of the «Women — Society — Music» problem could be singled out: 1) participation
of women in activities linked this way or another with music making along with men without apparent limitation;
2) female music making separated as a special socio-cultural niche as a result of discriminatory measures reflecting that
or other ideology; 3) the moulding of a special layer of music (genres, styles, types, manners of performance) inside the
established female music making tradition.

Promotional and song extravaganza of air: goods in art format (by Alexandra Krylova) is devoted to the
promotional song — one of the most popular genres in advertising practice, the impact on the mass consciousness of
which is predetermined by music format and reliance on archetypal meanings that bring to the mass consciousness the
concepts «song», «music», «art» The author classifies the types of promotional song, highlights musical and stylistic
priorities, analyzes the issues of motivation, aesthetics and mnemonic properties of genre.

Range of Values of Architectural Monument (by Helena Kuznetsova) presents detailed review of the main values
inherent to architectural monuments and draws a distinction between their sources and characteristics. Author analyzes
six main values: practical, sacred, historical, artistic, scientific, and urban. The combination of some or all values can
give the monument ability to provide emotional impact on the viewer which is examined separately. The sources of
this ability can be: an artistic image, appearance (patina, later historical layers), authentic material, relation to the
history, as well as the ambience of the building. Each value is determined by a number of features and has a diapason.
Particular value is more or less expressed in different monuments, has different quality and potentially can be increased.

Search for the Universal Creative Method in Soviet Photography of the 1930s (by Artjem Loginov) is devoted
to identifying the key preconditions that caused the formation of the socialist realism photography. The article also
describes the key innovations that have become a consequence of the application of the socialist realism method in
the field of photography. One of the main objectives in the article is to show the situation of the collision between
different visual concepts and their rejection in favor of the uniform visual method.

Architecture of Totalitarian Epoch in 1930s—1940s in Japan (by Youya Suzuki) considers the situation of
coexistence of various stylistic trends in architecture in Japan in the second quarter of the XX century. Features of the
search of national identity and the development of architecture in Japan generally lined with global trends are shown
by the example of three key architectural objects of the time: the buildings of Parliament of Japan, the main building
of the Imperial museum in Tokyo and the competition on «the Monument of the Great Eastern Asia».

Theatrical Concept of Anatoly Vasilyev: Methodology and Aesthetics (by Valeria Kolenova) considers Anatoly
Vasilyev’s creative work in the context of the unique artistic and poetic environment, the main role in which plays the
concept «school — laboratory — theatre». To this day Anatoly Vasiliev, the famous Russian director, still engaged in
search of technologies of that balance, as well as its aesthetic filling.

Paintings of Kazan Artist Grigory Antonovich Medvedev in the Collection of the National Museum Named
after Т.Е. Evseev of the Republic of Mari El (by Elvira Kolcheva, Sergey Svechnikov) presents results of studies on the
contribution of Kazan artist G.A. Medvedev to the emergence of painting in Mari region in the first third of the XX century.
He appears as the artist of the art of Nouveau era and an epoch of formation of socialist realism. Two paintings
«Rafting of timber along the Kokshaga» (1920s) and «Stepan Razin on the Volga» are of interest from the point of view
of the history of development of Russian art in general.

Analog Model of Modern Education (by Helena Valeyeva) makes an attempt to represent educational history as
a universal form of human text, which consists of antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Enlightenment, XIX and XX centuries,

and modernity. Dedicated periods are certain steps to change educational paradigms within a single educational text.
Conceptualization process allows one to enter the knowledge to another, and ultimately into the culture. Metaphoremes
can log in educational reality «at all times» and help identify all the educational space as an educational universe
methodological principle of which is a continuum analysis.

World of Childhood in the Projection of the Concept of Regional Cultural Nests of N.K. Piksanov and ideas
of I.I. Sreznevsky (by Helena Suvorkina) in the context of the projection of the theory of regional cultural nests of
N.K. Piksanov on the phenomenon of childhood considers the possibility of creating such a model metaphor as «cultural
nest». It is shown that the World of Childhood, as well as the World of Province, can be contrasted to the «center» —
the Adult World and the capital. In the projection of ideas of I.I. Sreznevsky the comparison was carried of childhood
subculture with the state seeking the independence and entitled to its own language and traditions.

Opera in Russia in the last third of the XIX Century: New Time — New Challenges — New Leaders
(by Sergey Wojtkowski) analyzes the social, political, and cultural life of Russia in the last third of
the XIX century revealing a direct correlation of changes in artistic practice of Opera with rising public attention
to culture and art. At the same time the author tries to disclose the significance of creative achievements
of I.P. Pryanishnikov, S.I. Mamontov, and S.I. Zimin in the development of Russian Opera.

memoir», «conditionally adventure novel», «a novel about the fate of genius in the vulgar society». According to the

What’s the Message of Architecture? (by Аndrey Velikanov) considers the aspects of architecture as a language
able to express the current state and to prophetically indicate the upcoming changes. The aesthetic value of a construction

space. It is necessary to see the entire complex of the accompanying phenomena, all the flow of the unfolding metaphors
and values. In the model in view the figure of the author-creator must be reconsidered as no longer conforming
to today’s reality. The development of the Stalinist Empire style, as well as its transformations, is considered as one of
the specific phenomena in the history of well-known constructions.

«Religious Dissidence» as a Phenomenon of Spiritual Revival in the USSR in the 60s—80s of
the XX century (by Dmitriy Sazonov) analyzes such a phenomenon of the 60s—80s of the XX century as «religious
dissidence». Intelligentsia, which in the 60s began to discover Russian culture, became the right environment, where
dissidence came into being. Through spiritual quest educated people came to Church, found God, and could not reconcile
with the pressure of state that declared atheism and the struggle against religion its ideological platform which was
expressed in the form of the closure of churches, the prohibition of free expression of religious feelings, suppression of
the rights and freedoms of the individual, etc.
