SUMMARY
Krom A. The evolution of American minimal music in the artistic context of the era. The article deals
with the evolution of American minimal music — from radical stylistic manifestations of the “classical phase”
of the 1960s — the first half of the 1970s to postminimalism trends of recent decades The author captures
the constant characteristics and mobile destinations in the works by composers of different generations,
consistently identifying aesthetic and artistic relationship with the key style of the era — postmodernism
Key words: minimalism, postminimalism, postmodernism, avantgarde, repetitive technique, La Monte
Young, Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Philip Glass
Leopa I. To the issue of periodization of chamber-vocal creativity of Gustav Mahler. The article aims at
periodization of Gustav Mahler’s chamber vocal creativity, based on the stages of evolution of particularly
vocal pieces In spite of the close connection of symphonic and melodious genres, the latter is regarded as an
independent line, which chronologically does not always coincide with the main periods of the composer’s
symphonic creativity
Key words: Gustav Mahler, vocal cycle, song, symphony
Ivanova J. The epic and lyrical beginnings in B. Lyatoshinsky’s choral poem «The water following the
blue sea»). The article considers the genre of the choral poem from the point of view of organic synthesis of
music and the poetic word It analyses the choral poem of the Ukrainian composer of XIX B Lyatoshinsky
«The water following the blue sea» based on the poem of T Shevchenko of the same name from the cycle
«Thought» The work is considered from the point of its influence on the genre signs of the epic and lyrical
beginnings The article generalizes the features of synthesis of the epic and the lyrics, typical for the genre,
in the poetic primary source and its musical embodiment
Key words: choral poem, epic and lyrical beginnings, Ukrainian choral music
Ozerov S. About accordion creativity of Nizhny Novgorod composers. The article is devoted to the
development of the accordion creativity of Nizhny Novgorod composers The author attaches more
attention to the accordion works of A A Nesterov, V Vladimirov, G N Коmrakov It attempts to create a
chronological list of the literature for the accordion by Nizhny Novgorod composers
Key words: Nizhny Novgorod composers, accordion, folklore, performing and composing school
Polkovnikova T. New music and composer art of Chuvashia. The ways of renovation. This article
tackles the creativity of two Chuvash composers — M A Alekseev and A G Vasilyev representing the new
direction in the Chuvash music of the second half of the XX century It analyses two works of composers
— «48 polyphonic images» by M Alekseev and «Indian summers by A Vasilyev, both indicative from the
point of view of refraction of esthetics of the new music formed on a national basis Peculiar features of the
motive combination theory combining national intonations and atonality in Alexeev’s compositions and
receptions of «style modeling» (polystylistics) in A Vasilyev’s mature works are revealed in the article
Key words: Chuvash composers, new esthetics, direction, equipment, national intonations, atonality,
polystylistics
Popov S. About oriental tendencies in music of Sergey Berinsky. The article is devoted to one of the
fundamental lines in music of the composer Sergey Berinsky The author identifies and analyzes new
features of his style The article describes his Oriental line, interprets its role in the context of the composer’s
aesthetic views
Key words: Berinsky, bayan, accordion, East, tragicalness, pantheism, expressionism, impressionism,
oriental
Gorshkova N. Stylistic features of Helmut Lachenmann’s music. The article reveals the trends in the
development of Western European instrumental music of the second half of the twentieth century As a
basis for the analysis it chooses selected works of the German composer Helmut Lachenmann In this paper
we consider the aesthetic and philosophical views of the composer, which influenced the creation of new

composite technologies, techniques of performance and musical notation The article is one of the few studies
of the works of the German genius, presented in Russian
Key words: Lachenmann, Adorno, Nono, the pre-issued aural experience, particular instrumental
music, free perception, neorhetoric, continuum
Shakhovskoi A. Associations in the system of musical-imagery thinking. The article states that depicting
imagery in music is characterized by two interrelated processes: a) depicting the environment; and b)
depicting the constructive opportunities (properties) of the sound matter A musical image emerges and lies
at the crossing point of these processes, joining together the «musical» and «non-musical» The associations
appear as the factor of perceiving the sense and logic of a musical composition
Key words: musical image, musical and non-musical, associations
Merkulov A. Cadency of a soloist in the XVIII — the beginning of the XIX centuries: the myth and
reality. For the first time in the national musicology the article considers the phenomenon of the cadency of
a soloist in the instrumental and vocal art of the XVIII — the beginning of the XIX centuries: its origins, the
time of its distribution, the absence or presence of imaginative and motive-thematical connections with the
main part, the degree of improvisationality, the duration
Key words: cadency, Baroque, Viennese classicism, improvisationality, the composer creativity
Zhang Chunjiazi. Сoncerto №9 (Es-dur, K. 271) for piano and orchestra by Mozart in the interpretation
of Fu Tsong: experience of comparative characteristics. In the article the search for the specifics of
performance of Mozart is based on the comparison of Fu Tsong’s artistic interpretation with the interpretations
of outstanding performers of the twentieth century — Clara Haskil and Alfred Brendel The author of the
article has formulated some of the principal features of the performing style of the Chinese pianist
Key words: piano-playing mastery, interpretation, dialogue of culture
Medvedeva J., U Tsin Yui. «Turandot» by J. Puccini — Hao Weiyang: the Chinese interpretation of the
finale. In 2008, the Chinese composer Hao Weiyang wrote his own version of the finale to the unfinished
masterpiece of J Puccini — the Opera «Turandot» Following Puccini’s intentions and using his outlines did
not prevent Hao Weiyang from emphasisng Chinese features in the libretto and music of the finale, thereby
combining in the score the traditions of East and West
Key words: Turandot, Puccini, Hao Weiyang, the finale of the opera, East and West
Chen In. Opera «The valley of the red river» by Men Weidun: national history in terms of European
opera tradition. The modern Chinese opera is widely developing, implementing the best European traditions
of the genre At the example of the opera «The valley of the red river» by a Chinese composer Men Weidun
we can trace the ways of adapting European traditions of the genre of opera at the level of dramaturgy and
compositional structure
Key words: Men Weidun, The valley of the red river, opera, European traditions
Popova O. The quartet of saxophones of Marcel Mule: to the history of establishing the genre. The
article is devoted to the creativity of Marcel Mule — an outstanding French musician who largely determined
the development of saxophone playing in the XX century It tackles the role of Marcel Mule in establishing
and developing the genre of the quartet of saxophones
Key words: Marcel Mule, quartet, saxophone
D. Prissyazhnyuk. Rhetorical analysis as a method of adequate performing interpretation. The article
raises the current at all times problem of correlation of authorly ( composer’s ) text of a musical piece and its
performing treatment Adequate (maximally identical to the intention) interpretation is not always the case
in practice , the researcher suggests the analyst-performer a sort of «precision indicators» of understanding
and treatment It also suggests relying on the opportunities of rhetorical analysis Demonstration of those is
carried out at the example of one of the most repertory vocal opuses of national school of composers of the
XIX century

semantics, A S Dargomyzhsky
Sivukhina E. Forming the artistic taste: to the history of the problem. The article describes the theoretical
basis of the problem of artistic taste formation It shows that addressing this problem originates from the
ancient cultures of India and China, continuing in aesthetic concepts of ancient Greece In the XVII century
the formation of taste becomes one of the central philosophical and aesthetic problems
Key words: artistic taste, style, perception
Matveyeva N. Prose as a poem and a poem as prose in musical implementation of S. Prokofiev (at
the example of the tale «Ugly duckling»). The article aims at illustrating the methods of implementing
verbal prose by Prokofiev at the example of a musical tale «Ugly duckling» Prokofiev saw in prosaic texts
the potential for implementing them in square, symmetric, periodical structures of musical syntax, thus
attributing to prose the features of verse
Key words: S Prokofiev, vocal pieces, poem, prose, musical syntax
Yermakova S. Poetics as a term of musicology and literary studies. The author of the article suggests a
new interpretation of poetics in musicology, based on the analysis of two approaches to the development of
the problem of musical poetics in the theory of literature – the structure and content-related and the content
and sense-related ones The article defines the content and the inner hierarchic structure of the notion
Key words: musical poetics, literary poetics, the structure of the artistic content
