The article presents results of investigation of Maksim Greek’s Works (13 chapters of his lifetime collection) based on collections and manuscripts, composed by Russian scribes in the end of the XVI – beginning of the XVII centuries. Tradition of Ioasaph collection was continued by the collection of archbishop Iona Dumin and Sinodalnoe collection. Khludov collection was put at the base of Solovetskoe, Rogozhskoe, Troitskoe and other collections. Analysis of Maksim Greek’s Works in Sibirskiy collection book (State Public Scientific and Technical Library, F.IV.3, end of the XVI century) defines some features of Siberian book culture at the second half of the XVIII century. Key words: book culture, Maksim Greek’s manuscript neritage, textology. Titova, L.V. The Destiny of Creative Heritage of Pustozersk authors in Kerzhents and Siberia. The author traces the development of publicist thought of Pustozersk Old Believers and its evolution on the basis of textual analysis. The influence of these conceptions on democratic literature of Old Believers of the XVII century is revealed. The way of creative adoption of Pustozersk literary tradition by the ‘second generation’ of writers is characterized. Key words: Old Believers, Pustozersk Archive, publicism, democratic literature. Zhuravel, O.D. Baroque Tendencies in the Old Believers Book Culture in the First Third of the XVIII Century. The article is dedicated to the problem of reception of the Baroque by the Old Believers of Vig in 1720–1730s. The analysis of the original Vyg Rhetoric and sermons composed by the Andrey Denisov, writer, ideologist and founder of the Vyg Hermitage (‘Vygovskaya pustyn’), reveals the vital part of baroque conceptual and stylistic elements in rhetoric and book culture of the Vig community along with traditional didacticism and new rationalistic trends. Author based its research on previously unexplored manuscripts. Key words: rhetoric, Baroque, sermon, Old Believers. Shaffert, E.A. Old Believers’ Editing of the ‘Big Catechism’. The article displays the history of changes in the ‘Catechism’ in the Old Believer’s literature tradition during XVII– XVIII centuries. On the basis of ancient books and manuscripts from the depositary of the Institute’s of History SB RAS the author exposes reasons of the ‘Big Catechism’s editing, and also analyses basic methods of editorial correction, accomplished by defenders of old ceremony. St. Innokenty the First Bishop of Irkutsk and Thaumaturgist: Stages of Hagiography. The paper considers the stages of St. Innokenty’s hagiography in the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries. Criterions for picking out the stages are substantiated; contents of each stage are characterized. Key words: hagiography, St. Innokenty, bishop, holy man, praise, description of miracles, historical science, spiritual writer. Zolnikova, N.D. Experience of Geographical and Religious Migration: Features of a Certain Collection of Manuscripts. In this article the author concludes the research of the manuscript collection of A.P. Perevalova, an Old Believer from Belokrinitskiy Congregation. The collection includes texts connected with different religious denominations. Their significant part is related with popular variant of the Orthodoxy (Russian Orthodox Church, currents in opposition to the ROC, including the Old Belief). Military History of Siberia and Far East in the Second Half of the XIX – the Beginning of the XX Centuries in Memoirs of Contemporaries. The article gives a review of memoir literature concerning problems of military history of Siberia and Far East. The authors were closely associated with military establishments – soldiers, sailors, officers of the Russian Army, and also civilians. These memoirs were published in Russia before 1917th and during Soviet time as well. Memoirs of the White refugees appeared abroad in 1930s – 1940s. Memoirs present how Russian state established in the Far East, how the Navy on the Pacific Ocean was created and which role it played in development of these territories. Key words: memoirs, Far East, Russian Army and Navy, military history. Karnaukhov, D.V. Polish Historical Book in Intellectual Culture of the Renaissance. The article gives an analysis of one of the most important features of literary culture of the Renaissance – development of book-publishing in national languages on the example of historical publications in Poland. Features of Polish historical books are displayed; special attention is given to two varieties of publications – translations from Latin into Polish language and original historical books in Polish. The author resumes that themes of humanitarian publications were various enough with prevailing local lore subjects. Research and Publishing Activity of Siberian Branches of IRGS (Fragments of History). The paper is dedicated to the publications of scientific literature by Siberian branches of the Imperial Russian geographical society in 1851–1917s in the context of their research activity. Main sections of East-Siberian and West-Siberian departments of the Society, which played great role in the making of the Siberian science, are investigated. The author concludes that the Society’s editions contributed significantly to the research and the development of Siberian natural resources, and also increased Siberian cultural potential. Publications of the ‘Isparts’, ‘Istprofs’ and ‘Istmols’ in Siberia in 1920–1930s. Publishing work of Siberian “Istpart”s, “Istprof”s and “Istmol”s during the period of 1920–1930s is the focus of the article. Main aspects of their work, the circle of co-operating authors are revealed, as well as the circumstances of appearance of historical publications about revolutionary and working class movements, Civil war and Party construction in Siberia. Key words: istparts, istprofs, istmols, Siberia, publishing. Gareeva, I.V. Formation of Book-trade Structures in PostSoviet Siberia (1991–2007). Problems of reorganizing and regulating of Siberian booktrade are investigated in the paper in connection with reforms in whole system of book-sale in 1990s. The author made an attempt to pick out different categories of book-trade enterprises. Special attention is given to the development of regional book-printing market. Key words: Siberia, wholesale and retail book-trade, publishing product, bookstores, post-soviet period. Vinogradov, A.V. Educative Book in Russian Language in Independent Kyrgyzstan (1991–2003). The paper concerns the publishing of educative literature in Russian language on the territory of modern Kyrgyzstan. Quantitative indices and geography of releases are considered. The special purpose designation of Russian-speaking manuals, published in the Republic, is analyzed. The conclusion indicates Kyrgyzstan aspiration to enter common educative space of the CIS. Co-evolution of the Conceptual Basis of the Educational and Book Publishing Systems. The author gives a review of the conceptual paradigms prevailing in the modern education space of Russia. History of German colonization in Russia in the Second half of the XVIII Century in the Local Works (1860s – 1917). The works of Russian researchers of the second half of the XIX – the beginning of the XX centuries concerning the history of German colonization are analyzed in the article. The author uncovers methods of scientific-historical studies of the colonization – organization, character, and results of the State policy towards Germans settling in different regions of the country, social-economic development of the settlements. Furthermore, different research approaches are and the source basis are assessed. Key words: history of colonization, migration, Germans. Smirnova, T.B. Ethnic History of German Diaspora in Works of Siberian Scientists. The article is devoted to historiography of German Diaspora in Siberia, questions of forming and activity of scientific centers engaged in researches of ethnic history and ethnography of Russian Germans. The periods of studying the Germans in Siberia are picked out; the interval from the beginning of 1990s till now is analyzed in details. This period distinguishes by expansion of research subjects, publication of multiple works concerned various aspects of existence of German Diaspora in Siberia. Today research works rise on a new level, big attention is given to theoretical questions of migratory processes, Diaspora developments, ethnic identity. Key words: historiography, Diaspora, scientific centers. Suchandana Chatterjee. The History of Siberia in the Indian Historiography. The article reviews the main approaches, developed by foreign and domestic researchers of the ethnic-cultural interaction in the Central Asia. Special accent is made on the analysis of the newest trends in scientific publications devoted to the ‘Turkic-Mongolian world’ and its images in cultures of the modernity and the past. Key words: the Central Asia, nomads, ‘frontier’. Larichev, V.Ye. The Sculpture of Uterus, the ‘Place of Life Origin’ and the Time: Calendar-Astronomical Knowledge in the Early Neolithic Epoch of the Lower Cis-Amur Area (the Malyshevskaya Culture). The article is devoted to the centenary from academic A.P. Okladnikov’s birthday and investigates one of his most mysterious finds dated the Early Neolithic Epoch of the Lower Cis-Amur Area (Priamurye; the Malysheva Culture; 6900±260 B.C.). It is clay sculpture covered all over with pattern, pearshaped and hollow, with small pebbles inside. This ‘object of art’ is interpreted by the author as Uterus – ‘the place which gives birth’ to Cosmos, human beings and sacred animals – bear and deer. This semantic appraisal of the sculpture is confirmed by V.Ye. Larichev’s deciphering of the numerical symbolic text on its surface. 144 astroarchaeological methods of ‘reading’ the calendarastronomical information on the surface of the ‘object of art’. Matochkin, Ye.P. The Solar Deity of the Komdosh-Boom Locality. The cult of Sun, widespread among the early nomad of Altai, didn’t have clear reflection in petroglyphic relics of the past. The rock-drawing, recently discovered at the KomdoshBoom locality near the merge of the Chuya and Katun rivers, gives new interesting material for the study of the Solar cult. There is stamped figure of syncretic zoomorphic being with antlers and the arc-shaped chest. This way ancient astronomers impressed the sunrise above the horizon in days of equinox and summer solstice. Sacrificial Siberian stag (‘maral’) and two chariots supplement the general idea about the Solar cult of the Altaians at the edge of the II and I millennium B.C. Barantseva, N.A. Influence of Migration on Formation of the Middle Siberia’s Polyethnic Population in the End of ÕIÕ – First Quarter of the ХХ Century. This article is devoted to the influence of migration on formation of polyethnic population in southern part of Middle Siberia in the end of ÕIÕ – first quarter of the ХХ century. Also modifications of social-demographic characteristics of the native population (national, class, social structure) are taken into consideration; social-economic consequences of migration policy are revealed; geographic sources of urban and rural population’s increase are determined; as well as social groups which have provided this growth. Key words: migration policy, ethnic groups, sources of formation, national structure, population of the Middle Siberia, migrations, ethnic demographic structure. Butanaeva, I.I. Traditions of Storyteller Skill of Khakass Hadji. The Khakass connected narrator skill with spirits of musical art – nymakh, hai, saryn, chatkhan etc. Attaining the narrator skill occurs through the ritual of initiation. Folk storytelling also takes place at night when souls of ancient warriors arise. Changes and misinterpretations of legends were prohibited; storytelling was followed by big feast. Folk stories and songs were performed during hunting, fishery and funeral banquet. It was assumed they had magical and ritual power. Key words: heroic legends, spirits-protectors, business and ritual functions of folk tales. Shitova, N.I. Christian Symbolic in Clothes of Uimon Old Believers. The author reveals Christian symbolic of traditional costume of the Old Believers from Uimon valley, Mountainous Altai on the basis of field materials, collected during 1997–2007. As a whole, Old-Believers’ garments remain the symbol of belonging to the ancient orthodoxy. Until today clothes are satiated with Christian symbols deliberately. The article presents the analysis of the territorial location of Russian convents in the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries. Statistical research, based on a number of criterions, displayed the centers of concentration of newly organized communities and convents which coincided with the centers of spiritual asceticism, according to the author. It is clearly displayed in the article that low concentration of convents coincides with reduction of ascetics’ influence. Siberia was the example of such territory, thus the number of convents was insignificant in the beginning of the XX century. Novosibirsk and Its Region: General Tendencies of Transformation in Ethnic Demographic Structure in XX–XXI Centuries. From its foundation in 1893 Novosibirsk (Novonikolaevsk until 1926) developed on the basis of migratory flows from village to city, from European to Asian part of the country. The share of the Russians in Novosibirsk and the region population prevailed and steadily grew during XX century. In post-soviet time ‘the western drift’ of migration in Siberia became obvious: representatives of European diasporas were leaving the region. Though Slavic population still prevailed in relative density of population of Novosibirsk region, the region becomes accepting community for migrants form the CIS countries and the Southeast Asia. Authors consider problems of value orientations in family matrimonial relationships among student youth of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Survey materials allowed to reveal the increase of the tendency to diverge from traditional model of family relationship. It leads, on the one hand, to the forming of new demographic behavior, and on the other hand – to destruction of family relations, deformation of reproductive behavior. On the basis of sociological poll data the authors examine social-economic and socio-cultural features of the adaptation of migrants, arrived to Yugra in different time, and the problems they confronted in the okrug. The analysis revealed that the most part of the migrants do not have any intention to reemigrate, but on the contrary, they try to settle down in Yugra or other regions of Russia.
