LESSONS LEARNED New Aspects of Operating Nurse Practice On February 14, St. Petersburg hosted a conference focusing on the use of surgical equipment by operating room nurses. The conference discussed the role of nurses in surgical interventions using ultrasound navigation, in high-tech ophthalmology surgery, and in endovascular treatment of acute myocardial infarction. Three Layers of HCAI Control Antibiotic resistance and poor hand hygiene adherence by medical personnel are commonly listed as key causes of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). However, there is another factor just as important: inappropriate choice of surgical linen and clothing. Nurse Roles in Outpatient Nephrology Services Hospital No. 52 in Moscow was the first to allocate dedicated nephrology beds in 1957.
